Imagine you are Ukrainian student who is talented mathematician, but you have never studied English or other languages in your life. You study hard every day, and your dream is to get into University of Chicago where you as a talented mathematician will have an opportunity to collaborate and share your ideas with the best professors and attend their lectures to gain even more information. However, one little but very important detail stops you on the way to your dream. This detail is called language and nowadays it is vital for international students to understand English at least on B2 level in order to get into universities.

One of the major problems nowadays that doesn’t let people to develop faster is a language barrier. Just imagine what if people from around the world would have an opportunity to get into any university and study there in their mother tongue. It is well known that due to the language barrier most of the genius people can’t show the world what they can do.

This can be solved by my potentially revolutionary idea that is based on development of modern technologies. We all know what Google Translator is and how it can help you to communicate with people all around the world. Recently they implemented a technology that is called “Conversation” when one person talks on his native language and his speech is being translated into another language in real time. After translation voice assistant read it out, thus simulating real conversation between two people. After the listened text, interlocutor can reply, and his speech will be also translated to the other person. After several uses of this technology I realized that this idea can be improved and used in education. My idea is fairly simple, we will develop special equipment that will be based on neural networks and have same idea as google translator but will work several times faster. Professors will talk and their speech will be translated and voiced to students simultaneously.

I believe that this can be extended not only on education but also on business, medical fields. For example, businessmen will no longer be required to hire translators every time they will need to hold a meeting with international partners. All they will have to do is buy a special equipment one time and use it every time they will need it. In short, the language barrier is a significant problem nowadays, even though all countries in the world try to make English compulsory. However, sometimes you just don’t have enough time to study English at a high-level that will allow you to study in international universities or handle business meetings with international partners by yourself. My idea can help these people, reduce their spending and give a chance to study in the best universities all around the world.
